Here's something most homeowners NEVER think about!

Everyone talks about changing filters, cleaning coils, and keeping drain lines clear. But what about your DUCTWORK?! 🤔

This wasn't just an A/C replacement… this was a COMPLETE HVAC makeover! 🔥➡️❄️

Our crew at Manasota Cooling & Heating went to work giving this home a serious upgrade, and we didn't cut any corners!

🔧 Here's what we tackled:

✅ Removed the old horizontal Trane air handler and existing ductwork.

✅ Installed a brand-new YORK system and converted the air handler to a vertical configuration.

✅ Installed ALL NEW R-6 insulated flex ductwork throughout the home.

✅ Custom-built new supply and return plenums for proper airflow.

✅ Constructed a new air handler base for the vertical installation.

✅ Installed a brand-new condensate drain line.

✅ Added NEW ATTIC INSULATION to help keep that Florida heat where it belongs — OUTSIDE! ☀️

This one took a little more creativity. The old Bard wall-hung unit came down, and in its place we installed a new package unit—but first, we had some building to do.

💦 THIS is why A/C maintenance matters! 🐧

That satisfying moment when the clog finally says “I’m outta here!” 😂

Your A/C doesn’t just cool your home — it also removes a LOT of moisture from the air, especially here in Florida. All that water has to travel through the condensate drain line. Over time, algae, slime, dirt and buildup can restrict that drain until eventually… it’s plugged.

A clogged drain might sound minor, but it can lead to water backing up into the air handler, float switches shutting the A/C down, ceiling damage, wet insulation, and a whole lot bigger repair bill.
This one got a proper clearing and you can see the results for yourself! 💨💦

A little maintenance today can prevent a big mess tomorrow.

Today’s project was a little different from our normal A/C work — we installed and vented this new range hood, including getting everything properly supported, connected, and exhausted where it belongs.
And with that ceiling height, this one definitely wasn’t your average “hang it and plug it in” job! 😂

Here’s a FREE way to help your A/C work better that requires absolutely ZERO tools.
Which is perfect, because we’ve seen what some of y’all do with tools. 😂

👉 Keep your interior doors OPEN whenever possible.

Why?

Your A/C doesn’t just blow cold air into the house—it also has to get that air back to the system through the return.

When you shut bedroom doors, especially in homes without dedicated returns or transfer grilles, you can create pressure differences between rooms. That can reduce airflow, encourage hot attic/outdoor air to sneak in through leaks, and make your A/C work harder trying to keep everything comfortable.

🌡️ Better airflow = better comfort + a happier A/C.

So before you blame the thermostat because your bedroom feels like Satan’s guest room…

🚪 Open the door.
🌀 Let the air circulate.
❄️ Give your A/C a fighting chance.

🚨HAPPY FRIDAY, NORTH PORT🚨

It’s 7 AM.

Somebody’s already doing 73 mph down Price Blvd.

A Publix parking lot argument is probably warming up.

And somewhere in North Port, an A/C installed during the Bush administration just made a noise that sounded like a shopping cart falling down a staircase. 😂

But its owner said:

👉 “Nah, she’s been doing that for a while.”

SIR. 😭

Your condenser is outside fighting for its LAST DAMN BREATH while you’ve got the thermostat set to 68° with the back door open.

Then comes the Facebook post:

“Anybody know an A/C guy who can come RIGHT NOW and doesn’t charge a lot?”

Yeah.

❄️ BECAUSE APPARENTLY EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE HAS A DIFFERENT DEFINITION OF “COMFORTABLE.” 😂

One person wants 68°.
Another wants 74°.
And somebody is walking around wrapped in a blanket complaining that everyone else is freezing them out. 🤣

Problem solved.

We recently completed this YORK installation with a 3-zone communicating system and three communicating thermostats, giving each zone better control over its own comfort.

But we didn’t just swap the equipment and call it a day. This project also received all-new supply and return plenums, new walls inside the equipment closet, and a new equipment base. We rebuilt the area around the system to give the new equipment the installation it deserved.

That’s the part customers don't always see when comparing HVAC quotes. The box matters—but how that box is installed matters just as much.

Clean workmanship. Proper airflow. Proper setup. Thorough commissioning. And a system designed to actually work together.

Check out this recent two-system installation right on the Manatee River! 🌴

Being this close to the water, we wanted to give these systems a little extra protection. Both YORK systems were ordered with custom blue corrosion-protective coated coils to help defend against Florida’s harsh, corrosive environment and protect the homeowner’s investment.

And of course, the equipment is only as good as the installation. Our crew took the time to make sure everything was properly installed, sealed, drained, secured, and commissioned for reliable performance.
