🎀 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀

For Foundation Air, wearing pink means a little more than simply recognizing October.

Pink is one of our standard work shirt colors for a reason. It’s our way of honoring the family members and friends close to us who have faced breast cancer—and unfortunately, there are many. Their strength, courage, and resilience are something we carry with us throughout the year, not just during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This October, we want to do a little more.

💗 A portion of Foundation Air’s sales throughout the month of October will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation to help support the fight against breast cancer.

This month, we honor:

🎀 The families and friends walking beside them

💧 YOUR AC DOESN’T JUST COOL YOUR HOME — IT REMOVES A LOT OF WATER, TOO.

Here in Southwest Florida, our air conditioners work hard to remove humidity from the air. All of that moisture has to go somewhere — through your condensate drain system.

Over time, buildup inside the drain line can restrict the flow of water and potentially lead to:

💧 A clogged or backed-up drain
🛑 A tripped float switch that shuts your AC off
🏠 Water around the air handler
🌡️ An unexpected loss of cooling
💸 Potential water damage if safeguards don't operate properly

One of the most common calls we receive is “My thermostat is on, but my AC suddenly stopped working.” Sometimes, the problem isn't the AC equipment at all — it's the condensate drain system doing exactly what it's designed to do when a safety switch detects rising water.

A helpful Florida homeowner tip: If your AC suddenly shuts off, repeatedly resetting the thermostat or float switch isn't the answer. If water isn't draining properly, the underlying cause still needs to be addressed.

Regular HVAC maintenance gives us an opportunity to inspect the accessible drain components and look for signs of developing problems before you're left wondering why the AC stopped on a hot Florida afternoon.
