It’s been a busy season at HEB. We’re grateful that our 2026 summer interns were here to support our Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Land Surveying Teams in the office and in the field. Each brought their own perspective to their projects while contributing to the collaborative culture we want young professionals to experience at our firm.

HEB Summer Shindig 2026 🌞

Last Friday, we put our Out of Office messages on and headed to Gorham, NH, for HEB’s annual Summer Shindig. We hit the ORV trails around Jericho Mountain State Park to explore miles of wilderness, take in great views, and charge through mud puddles. Afterward, we went to Big Day Brewing for a picnic plus a few rounds of co****le and disc golf. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or better company!

Learning at HEB often happens side by side, with newer team members joining more experienced staff in the field. Last week, HEB’s Transportation Team headed to Bristol, NH, for a field review of a DOT project focused on corridor improvements along NH Route 104. It was a great opportunity to learn how to assess safety concerns and use those observations to inform project design.

We’re excited to announce that Jordan Pike has been named HEB’s Vice President of Operations as he marks five years with the firm.

Throughout his tenure at HEB, Jordan has helped transform our transportation practice while supporting and mentoring the growth of our young engineers. In his new role, he will oversee firm operations, project delivery processes, technical standards, quality control programs, and workforce planning.

As we celebrate both this well-earned promotion and Jordan’s five-year anniversary, we’re grateful for the leadership and dedication he has brought to HEB. We look forward to his continued impact in this next chapter!

We’re thrilled to share that Charlotte Lomino has joined HEB as a Junior Transportation Engineer. In this role, she will support the Structural Engineering team in project design and development, while continuing to expand her knowledge of transportation engineering and community-focused infrastructure.

Charlotte’s professional experience includes structural engineering roles with consulting firms in New York, as well as leadership positions focused on community development and transportation planning in Saranac Lake. Charlotte spends her free time outside (hiking, biking, climbing, hammocking, etc.), playing guitar/bass, or brewing a delicious cup of locally roasted craft coffee.
