GlassEco Surfaces GlassEco manufactures recycled glass countertops and other hard surfaces that are elegant, ecofriend Please visit GlassEcoSurfaces.com to learn more.

GlassEco manufactures a variety of elegant and ecofriendly hard surfaces for interior and exterior use. Product lines include countertops, hearths, fireplace surrounds, shower walls and pool surrounds. GlassEco Surfaces are handcrafted in North Charleston, SC with 100% recycled glass... Most of which is locally sourced, diverting tons of would be refuse from South Carolina landfills each year. The environmental advantages of repurposed glass are certainly impressive, but unlimited design possibilities have made the material even more appealing. Terrazzo style glass countertops are an increasingly popular choice among consumers who are seeking a durable and stylish alternative to natural stone. There are several manufacturers, with varying commitments to sustainability, who specialize in this style. Most are equipped to deliver surfaces that are scratch resistant, heat resistant and beautiful, but the ability to customize a countertop is typically limited. We're changing all of that with a local presence, a commitment to positive customer experiences and a unique design process.

We recently partnered with Better by Design on an extensive home renovation on James Island. The house was built in 2000 and it is hard to believe that it is 26 years old!

“There are many features of our new home designed, constructed and produced by Michael and Mary that we just love…..our favorite, though, is the eco-glass custom terrazzo-style countertops in the kitchen that are made with a recipe of recycled bottles from local restaurants and (locally sourced) shells and sand ….. This feature pulls everything together with a clean natural flow!” – Debra and John D.

A new sample of a version of “Black Swan”. This one has mother of Pearl mixed in, and we really like how the iridescence turned out against the black background.!

An early look at our Brevard, North Carolina “Gypsy Hiker” Kitchen. The glass that is laid in here is from an early 1900s general store in Summerville!
You can see the etching and the brand of the bottle on some of the pieces.
If you look real close, there are small specs of orange in this design! Very cool!
