Take a look at this recently completed project in Haverhill! Our team just wrapped up a brand new stone retaining wall, matching steps, and a clean stepping-stone walkway that completely transforms how this front yard looks and functions.

Sloped yards are always a fun challenge to tackle, and this property was the perfect candidate for a major upgrade. We built a durable retaining wall to level out the landscape beds, installed structured steps to bridge the grade change right from the driveway, and laid down a striking walkway to tie the whole entryway together. We hope you and your families made it through the Nor'easter safely this weekend and didn't lose power or experience flooding.

Our crews are going to be out this Tuesday handling non emergency clean ups for anyone in the area who got hit with a lot of debris. If you have fallen branches or yard mess that you need cleared away, just call 978-794-1010 before 3:00 pm, M-F and we will add you to our schedule.

Hardscape and Landscape Beautification Project Update:

Post hardscape installation, the Northeast Landscape team got to work planting a pink smooth Hydrangea, mix of Hostas, peach Astilbe, heuchera and ladies mantle in the shade garden. Plus, the team planted fountain grass in the sun along the front of the deck. Everything is low maintenance and beautiful!

A sneak peek at our project in North Andover! The hardscaping is officially wrapped up - the new patio, fire pit, and walkway came out great, and the client is absolutely loving the results. Next up is the planting and seeding to tie everything together. More photos to come once it's completely finished!

BENEFITS OF CORE AERATION WITH OVERSEEDING

Summers are filled with rain and heat which are natural breeding grounds for unwanted weeds. Not to worry! There is a way to reduce this and bring your lawn back into good shape and we are coming upon the most favorable season to do so.

What should you do? We recommend you consider core aeration and overseeding your lawn. Below you'll find the benefits of how this service will revive your turf:

>Core aeration reduces soil compaction. Just as you would not try to plant a flower in concrete...a rock-hard soil bed is not conducive to a great lawn either! Loose soil allows grass roots to plunge deeper into the soil to find vital water resources in times of stress.

>Core aeration reduces thatch. Thatch is made up of grass stems that accumulate faster than they can breakdown. Excessive thatch creates an environment that is favorable to pests and disease.

>Core aeration allows access to the root zone. By penetrating the soil, you are allowing moisture, air and food to the root zone where nutrients are absorbed.

>Core aeration enhances seed germination. Seeds germinate easily in aerator holes as the holes provide them a place to hide.

>Core aeration and overseeding will help reduce weeds. Opportunistic weeds germinate in areas where they can be successful. Crabgrass grows in thin areas, nutsedge pops up in thin/low spots, and broadleaf weeds spread where there is little desirable grass. The best defense is to have a thick lawn.
