PROJECT SPOTLIGHT ✨

Sometimes a property just needs a fresh start.

For this project, the homeowners wanted a complete front property reset — something refined, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to elevate the entrance to their home.

Our team installed a brand-new front walkway, creating a clean and structured approach to the house. On either side of the entrance, we designed and installed new planting beds, carefully arranged to feel balanced, intentional, and visually striking from the moment you arrive.

One of the standout features of this project is the pleached hornbeam, a truly unique specimen that adds architectural structure and elegance to the design. At Downer Brothers Landscaping, we go the extra distance to source one-of-a-kind plant material that elevates the entire landscape.

This project also gave us the opportunity to test our new AI glasses technology, allowing us to show clients plant material directly from the nursery without them having to take time out of their schedule to visit. Our team visits the nursery, records a short walkthrough, and shows clients the exact specimens we’re considering.

The homeowner was able to review the video, compare options, and confidently choose the plants she loved most — creating a design that felt personal, collaborative, and perfectly suited to her vision.

The result: a beautifully refreshed entrance and a happy client who felt fully involved in the design process.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT ✨

This beautiful property in Manchester-by-the-Sea called for an entrance feature that felt clean, structured, and intentional from the moment you arrive.

At the center of the driveway, our team designed and installed a circular entrance bed featuring classic boxwood plantings, creating a crisp focal point that anchors the front of the property. Inside the ring of boxwoods, we installed a natural stone paver pathway, providing access to the centerpiece of the design — a beautiful ornamental tree positioned in the middle of the bed.

To soften the strong structure of the boxwoods, Pachysandra was installed along the outside of the circle, creating a smooth green skirt that adds texture and balance while helping the planting bed feel full and established.

The result is a refined entrance feature that blends structure with softness, enhancing the property’s curb appeal while maintaining a timeless, polished look.
