Last week, we were happy to surprise our longtime clients at The Children's Center during their annual retreat with a financial contribution to support their programs!⁠

The Children's Center is an incredible local nonprofit serving over 1,000 families each year across Hampton Roads. Beyond providing quality childcare, they offer early intervention, direct family support, and vital education programs like Head Start and Early Head Start.⁠

Working alongside them has meant so much to us. We feel incredibly lucky to give back to an organization that has supported us in so many ways and continues to serve our community in such an impactful way!

Over the past year, Jelany has brought practical expertise and energy to our interior design work. He has an incredible eye for design, paired with a fast and efficient process for selecting finishes and bringing physical presentations to life. He’s also been a huge asset, bringing a clear approach to project details and quality during construction administration.⁠

Beyond project work, Jelany is just great to have around the studio. He's always willing to jump in with advice or a helping hand. He’s also quick to bring some humor to the office, whether he's sharing stories about being a proud girl dad or just chatting and catching up.⁠

There’s nothing quite like stepping away from our desks and just spending time together! On Thursday, we celebrated our team with lunch (and a little friendly competition) at Grain, a tour of the waterfront aboard Rover Cruises, and some more friendly competition at Circuit Social Arcade Bar. Safe to say we had a blast and it was the perfect way to start a long weekend!

We get to choose our own birthday day off, so it only makes sense to choose a company-wide day off to celebrate VIA turning 35! 🎉

To give our team time to celebrate and reset, we will be closing this Thursday, July 23rd at noon and remaining closed all day Friday, July 24th. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the office refreshed on Monday, July 27th!

The VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads Back to School Supply Drive Challenge just kicked off for the 2nd year, and we’re collecting school supplies to benefit the amazing students supported by Communities in Schools of Hampton Roads!

Communities In Schools of Hampton Roads works directly with local schools to ensure students have the tools, support, and resources they need to succeed all year long.

Last year, VIA held a steady spot on the leaderboard until the final week of the challenge. This year, we are back for some friendly redemption and a spot at the top! 🏆😉
