The Codington County Jail & Law Enforcement Center reached an important milestone with the placement of the final piece of structural steel. BCI celebrated the occasion with a Topping Out ceremony alongside Codington County representatives, the design team, local community members, and members of our project team. Vice President of Operations Bill Barritt, while talking with KXLG, explained the symbolism of the Topping Out ceremony, “The flag represents patriotism and pride while the tree represents good luck moving forward.”

At Beckenhauer Construction we’re proud to be a family-owned business with a history that spans generations.

Our legacy is built on more than just the work we do. It’s built on the people who have been part of BCI over the years, the partnerships we’ve formed, and the communities we’re proud to call home.

A big thank you to the Nebraska Business Development Center for sharing the story of BCI and the history behind our family business. We’re proud of where we’ve been, grateful for the people who have helped shape our story, and excited for what’s ahead.

Beckenhauer Construction's Beyond Grant is proud to support our communities where we live, work, & play.

The Pierce County 4-H Club is working to expand its archery program by adding outdoor archery targets, giving them the opportunity to reach more youth and provide additional opportunities for kids to learn, participate, and grow.

We were happy to contribute through the BCI Beyond Grant to help make this possible! We’re proud to support programs that create opportunities for young people and strengthen the communities we’re fortunate to call home.

We recently joined Our Savior Lutheran - Norfolk, NE in Norfolk for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of their renovation project.

The approximately 22,000 SF project transformed previously unfinished space into new youth rooms, event spaces, adult Bible study rooms, restrooms, a serving kitchen, coffee bar, and stage.

Student volunteers helped move furniture into the new spaces ahead of the celebration, getting everything ready for the congregation to gather and see the completed project. Pastor Lee cut the ribbon to officially mark the occasion and thanked the congregation, volunteers, and project team for the work and dedication that made the project possible.

We’re proud to have worked alongside the Our Savior Lutheran Church leadership, Davis Design, and trade partners to bring these new spaces to life, and we’re excited for the ways they will support worship, connection, and community for years to come.

National Construction Week is a chance to recognize the people and partnerships that make our work possible.

At Beckenhauer Construction, honesty, commitment, and hard work are at the heart of how we work with our clients, trade partners, and communities. Many of the relationships we’ve built have continued for decades, with some even being passed from one generation to the next.

We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built and thankful for everyone who continues to build alongside us. Partnerships built on trust.

A project like this doesn't reach its milestones without a whole lot of people working together to make it happen. The topping-out ceremony at the Codington County Jail & Law Enforcement Center was a chance to bring together the many people who have helped move this project forward and celebrate the progress made so far.

As we move into the next phase of construction, we're excited to continue working alongside Codington County, our project partners, trade contractors, and everyone else helping bring this important facility to life.

Here are a few more moments from a great day in Watertown!

Thank you to the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to host Business After Hours! We enjoyed connecting with members of the Hastings community, sharing great conversations, and spending the evening together over good food and drinks.

Hastings is a community we’re proud to be part of. From building the Adams County Justice Center to giving back through a food drive at the project’s ribbon cutting, we’ve enjoyed being part of the community and look forward to continuing to build strong local connections in the area.

A special thank you to The Cheese and W**e Shop in Hastings for the incredible charcuterie board and for helping make the evening a success. We appreciate everyone who joined us and look forward to seeing you again soon!
