Instrument Man Job Description
DKT Associates Land Surveyors has been a fixture in the community for the last ten years. We pride ourselves on quality and reliability, with a quick turn-around time. Our work helps people buy and sell homes and obtain appropriate insurance coverage every day. DKT is currently looking to hire an experienced instrument man to work in the field performing surveys and elevation certificates.
Responsibilities/Skills/Qualifications
• Work as a team to assist crew chief with finding and recording points for residential and commercial boundary surveys
• Use GPS and other surveying equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of survey equipment and survey vehicle
• The importance of quality work and accurate collection of data cannot be understated
• This job entails lots of physical work, long periods of being on one’s feet, and working outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to carry equipment through difficult terrain
• At least 2 years working with a surveying crew in the field
• Ability to communicate with team members and clients in a professional manner
• Experience with data collection and GPS equipment
• Must be self-motivated
• Must show up to work every morning on time
• Work starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends approximately at 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There will be opportunities for overtime.
