Tech Tip: Soak trimmer line in water for 12-48 hours prior to use.

Modern trimmer line is made from nylon, copolymers including nylon and reinforced nylon all of which are hygroscopic so it's moisture content is relative to it's environment. Conditioning increases pliability & longevity and reduces welding & fraying.

So before you toss that troublesome line just rehydrate it.
