Wondering what actually happens during a cabinet installation? Hereโs the full week-by-week timeline ๐
Week 1 โ Measurement & Order
After your design is finalized, we take precise measurements of your kitchen. Cabinets are ordered. Lead time is typically 2โ4 weeks depending on the line.
Week 2โ4 โ Waiting Period
Your cabinets are being manufactured or pulled from inventory. This is the time to finalize countertop selection, hardware, and any electrical or plumbing changes youโre making.
Week 5 โ Demolition Day
Old cabinets come out. This takes 1 day typically. Your kitchen will be functional but bare โ plan for simple meals during installation week.
Week 6 โ Cabinet Installation
New cabinets go in. For a standard kitchen (20โ30 cabinets), installation takes 2โ3 days. Upper cabinets first, then base cabinets, then doors and hardware.
Week 7 โ Countertop Template
After cabinets settle, the countertop fabricator comes to template your exact measurements. Custom stone takes 1โ2 weeks after templating.
Week 8 โ Countertop Install + Final Touches
Countertops drop in, sink reconnects, backsplash goes up (if included). Final punch list and touch-up.
Total: 6โ8 weeks from design approval to done.
The hardest part? Choosing what you want. The installation itself is the smooth part.
