It is with very heavy hearts that we share that Duhon Custom Gates and Woodworking will no longer be taking new orders and will be closing our shop.
Since 2014, this little business has been so much more than just a business to our family. It has been our livelihood, our passion, and a huge part of our lives.
Over the years, we have built custom gates, barn doors, mantels, shelves, furniture, and so many other unique pieces. But what many people may not realize is that behind every single project was essentially one man.
For almost 13 years, Steve has designed, built, hauled, delivered, and installed nearly every project from start to finish. We have been blessed with some wonderful friends who have stepped in to help from time to time, but we have never had employees. This business has truly been built by his own two hands.
And the hard truth is…those hands, his back, and his body have carried a lot over the years.
After much prayer, reflection, and many difficult conversations, we have made the decision that it is time to close this chapter. Steve’s body simply cannot continue to handle the physical toll that this work has taken over the years. As difficult as it is to walk away from something we have poured so much of ourselves into, we know that choosing his health and well-being is the right decision for our family.
We honestly cannot put into words how grateful we are for the thousands of customers who have supported us throughout the years. You welcomed us into your homes. You trusted us with your ideas and visions. You referred us to your friends and family. You shared our work and supported our little business in ways you may never even realize.
Many of you started as customers and became friends.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for supporting a small, family-owned business. Thank you for allowing Steve to create pieces that will hopefully live in your homes for generations.
Closing this chapter is incredibly bittersweet. There are so many memories, friendships, and projects that will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Duhon Custom Gates and Woodworking has been part of our family for nearly 13 years, and while we are sad to say goodbye, we are also incredibly thankful for every single person who helped make this dream possible.
