🌼 GET THE BEST FROM YOUR HARDY MUMS! 🌼

Those tight mum buds aren’t a bad thing! In fact, tight buds can mean more blooms are still to come. 🌸 If your mums arrive with little or no flower color showing, they simply need the right conditions and a little time to reach their full potential.

Here are a few tips to help your hardy mums thrive:

☀️ Give them plenty of light
Move your mums into a bright area as soon as possible. Outdoors is ideal! Avoid keeping them in boxes, dark rooms, or poorly lit areas for extended periods.

💧 Check moisture every day
Mums can dry out quickly, so check the soil daily. Keep the entire root ball evenly moist, but avoid waiting until your plant is severely wilted before watering.

🌱 Water the whole root ball
Water thoroughly so moisture reaches the entire root system and excess water can drain away. Avoid letting your pots sit in standing water.

🌡️ Keep them out of extreme heat
Very hot conditions can slow flower development. Good air movement and protection from prolonged excessive heat can help your mums perform their best.

🌼 Give them time to develop
Healthy, tight buds need time to open! How quickly they develop will vary depending on the variety, temperature, light, and how tight the plant was when you received it.

Remember, mums go through several stages... from tight buds, to showing color, to retail-ready blooms, and finally full color! So if your mum isn't blooming quite yet, don't worry. With the right care, those buds have plenty of beauty still to come! 🌼✨
