Three tile patterns in one bathroom sounds like a lot until you see how they work together. Elongated hex tile runs vertically up both shower walls, navy on one side and white on the other, and the navy wraps right around the window. Inside the niche, a white herringbone mosaic adds a second pattern, and large hexagon tile covers the floor.

Black trim around the niche, a black faucet, and a black mirror frame keep the mix grounded, and the walnut vanity adds warmth. Pairing tile like this takes an eye for scale, color, and where each pattern should land. The painted shaker cabinetry anchors the room, with a tall center cabinet that adds storage without crowding the countertop. Speckled white quartz, brushed nickel fixtures, and rounded mirrors keep the details clean.

A vaulted ceiling, an exposed beam, and an arched window give this Evanston primary bathroom plenty of character, so the double vanity beneath them was designed to be calm and balanced. Two doors sit at the center with a stack of two drawers on each outer side. Vertical pulls on the doors, horizontal pulls on the drawers, and the same rhythm repeated from left to right.

The balance carries up the wall. Two rounded black framed mirrors, two slim linear vanity lights, two black faucets, and a towel bar on each side give each person their own sink, mirror, and light. The warm wood grain softens the white countertop and the large format floor tile with its gray veining. Damian started 4Ever Remodeling as a cabinet maker, so cabinetry is where we pay the closest attention.

Remodeling the kitchen and the bathroom in the same project means living through construction one time. That was the plan for this Chicago condo, and the two rooms came out sharing a lot. Warm wood floating shelves show up above the vanity and along the kitchen wall, glass globe lighting hangs in both rooms, and the finishes stay soft and light so each room feels related without matching.

In the kitchen, white shaker cabinets reach the ceiling with glass-front uppers on top, glazed cream subway tile runs behind a gas range with brass k***s, and a w**e fridge sits at the end of the peninsula. In the bathroom, fluted tile in a warm oak tone gives the shower its character, penny tile covers the floor, and built-in niches keep everything within reach. Our project managers are briefed on every room in the project, and the selections, approvals for both rooms in Buildertrend, so the homeowners had one set of conversations for two spaces.

Mixing cabinet colors and wood tones in one kitchen can sound risky until you see it done with a plan. In this Lakeview Chicago kitchen, white shaker cabinets cover most of the room, a slate blue range hood and w**e nook bring in color, and a white oak island adds warmth you can see all the way from the porch doors. Three finishes, each with its own job.

Up close, the details keep it interesting. A herringbone tile inset frames the Wolf range, the island posts are paneled, and even the outlet cover on the island is made from matching oak. Framing is the stage where a basement stops being one big open space and starts becoming rooms. In this 500 square foot Chicago basement finishing project, the walls are up, the new bathroom is framed, and electrical is being run through the studs so every outlet, switch, and light lands exactly where the homeowners will use it.

Once insulation and drywall go up, moving a switch means opening a wall back up, so this is the stage where layout details get locked in. The existing laundry room stays as is, and the new work wraps around it. Our project managers are on site every other day, and with design and construction under one roof, framing, electrical, and plumbing all work from the same plan.

In this Old Irving basement, LVT flooring in a warm natural oak tone runs the length of the hall, with crisp white baseboards, wide door casing, and flat panel interior doors. Glossy taupe tile stacked vertically, a patterned floor in soft blue, sage, and sand, and brushed gold on every fixture from the shower valve to the glass hinges. This Westmont bathroom pairs old world character with a clean, current layout.

The floor pattern appears twice. It runs underfoot, then returns inside the shower niche, so the eye travels from the floor to the wall. The soft variation in the stacked tile keeps the shower warm, the frameless glass lets every detail show, and the pedestal sink and ornate gold mirror bring in vintage European charm.
