This new five-story residential building features 42 residential units and a first-floor parking garage.

The structural system combines a concrete slab on grade garage at ground level, a steel framed second floor, and wood framing for the upper residential levels, creating an efficient solution that supports the project’s architectural vision.

6-Unit Residential Building | Jamaica Plain, MA 📍

Our structural engineering team designed a new ADA-compliant ramp to provide barrier-free access to the rear of this three-story residential building with a mezzanine.

The ramp was designed with accessibility, safety, and Massachusetts requirements in mind, including appropriate slopes, landings, clearances, and handrail placement.

At the rear of the property, our team also designed a Redi Rock retaining wall to support the adjacent property's soil. The precast modular concrete system provides stability through the weight and interlocking configuration of the blocks, without the need for geogrid reinforcement.

Our Civil Engineering team also designed the proposed water, sewer, fire protection, and stormwater infrastructure to meet BWSC requirements.

📍3-Unit Residential Project with Underground Garage in Newton.

Our Structural Engineering team designed this residential project, which features an underground garage with a conventional foundation system and a slab-on-grade foundation.

Additionally, we designed a combination of steel and wood framing for the first floor, making it possible to achieve the proposed architectural design.

📍New project in Concord | Single-family home designed for modern living.

Proud to be part of bringing this vision to life from the ground up. Special thanks to Krassi Diehl for trusting our team to lead the way.

Our involvement within the project included:

The project’s site is located in a residential neighbourhood with a vegetated wetland to its west. The existing site has varying slopes throughout, creating a challenge for the design and the construction.

Our Civil Engineering team designed a Stormwater System to mitigate the effects of runoff generated by the construction.

Two infiltration systems were proposed to meet the standards. We also designed the Septic System for residential purposes.

Septic Design & Site Planning Update 📍 Weston, MA

We are making progress on this residential project located on a Scenic Road and within a Conservation-regulated area.

Due to site conditions (including nearby wetlands, shallow bedrock, and high groundwater), our team designed a custom septic and stormwater system to meet local requirements.

New project in Newton consisting of two multi-family buildings (2 units each), both incorporating a 4-dedicated Stormwater Infiltration System. The site was previously occupied by a Single-Family Attached Dwelling.

One of the main challenges was successfully integrating the steep topography with the landscape design.

The property lacked an existing drainage or infiltration system, which resulted in stormwater scouring across the surface at grade.

Our Civil team developed a design for a newly installed stormwater infiltration system, which, together with the proposed grading, works to effectively control site runoff and significantly enhance drainage conditions at the property.

Residential Addition & Renovation Project 📍 Wayland, MA

This project included a one-story addition along with interior renovations to an existing home.

To achieve the proposed open space concept, our structural team designed a steel beam system on the first floor to support the existing structure, enabling the realization of the architectural vision.

Our involvement also included the Existing Conditions, Proposed Plot Plan, and Lot Stake Out, ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient design process.
