🚧 Pipe Layer 🚧
Responsible for installing underground piping systems that connect buildings to water supplies, sewers, and stormwater management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assess ground conditions to determine the best approach for laying pipes.
- Excavate trenches to accommodate the pipes; position, set, and maintain vertical/horizontal grade control for piping operations, monitoring all elevations, grades, and lines to ensure conformance to plans.
- Connect and position pipes and structures according to specifications and city ordinances. - Dismantle and dispose of outdated piping as necessary.
- Ensure installations meet required standards.

🚧 Pipe Foreman - Underground Utility Foreman 🚧
- Must have 5+ years of experience as a pipe foreman.
- Supervise projects from planning to completion.
- Coordinate daily activities of a 2-5 man crew.
- Actively inspect the work site for potential safety concerns or health hazards; hold the crew accountable to company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Submit and review employee time and evaluate crew production/progress.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, using a pipe laser, vacuum testing of manholes, air testing sanitary sewer, and pressure testing water lines.
- Proficient in excavation, backfill, and proper compaction practices.
- Experienced with installation of sanitary sewer, storm drain, and waterlines (fire and domestic). - Knowledge of erosion control BMPs; Blue Card a plus.
- Proficient operating excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, etc.
- Maintain a professional relationship with fellow employees, owner, inspectors, and others.
