I’ll forever offer the same advice…buy what works! It’s fun to experiment with new varieties of plants sometimes, but it also stinks to have them slowly fade away. Or worse, hang on til the frost but never really perform

Impatient’s and Coleus will work just about anywhere (if you’re buying the right variety for the exposure).

There are so many varieties available now, that you can make many lovely combinations like this 🌺

Hanging Baskets - to build your own or buy them fully assembled & grown 🗳️

Personally, I adore creating my own and have never had much luck keeping a fully grown one alive after the 4th of July

Benefits of making your own:

🌸 You decide quality of potting mix
🌼 Chance to add extra nutrients
🌸 You can be creative
🌼 Plant choices based on lighting conditions
🌸 Typically budget friendly

Either way, hanging baskets make a porch feel inviting and invites plenty of feathered friends!

Iris’s & Pansies, oh my!!! 🌼

This has been the perfect season for pansies! Long, cold springs are what they need. They also adore being dotted over…lots of water, lots of nutrients and the occasional dead heading goes a long way in making them thrive 🌼
