New mosquito management technologies are showing how science can target mosquito populations while reducing reliance on traditional spraying.

As pest management professionals, it’s important to stay informed on emerging tools that may help protect public health and our communities.

What do you think? Would you support biological mosquito control programs in your area?

A pest many thought was a thing of the past is making headlines again.

The New World Screwworm is a flesh-eating fly whose larvae feed on living tissue, causing serious injuries to livestock, pets, wildlife, and in rare cases, people. Recently, multiple cases have been confirmed in Texas, marking the first U.S. detections in decades and raising concerns across the agricultural industry.

Rats don’t just live in sewers they often burrow under sheds, fences, decks, and landscaping right in your backyard.

We recently helped a homeowner who was dealing with active rat burrows throughout their yard. Our team performed a complete rodent exclusion service by locating entry points, sealing vulnerable areas, installing exclusion materials, and addressing the conditions that were attracting rodents.

The result? No more active burrowing and a safer, cleaner outdoor space for the family to enjoy.

If you’re seeing holes in your yard, droppings, gnaw marks, or signs of rodent activity, don’t wait until the problem gets worse.

At On-Sight Pest Management, we specialize in rodent inspections, exclusion work, and long-term prevention solutions.

Another successful cleanout by On-Sight Pest Management.

These monitors came out of a single home after identifying heavy German roach activity throughout the property. This is why proper inspection, flushing, monitoring, and follow-up matter. You can’t solve infestations with “just a spray.”

We focus on:
• Finding the pressure points
• Reducing breeding areas
• Monitoring activity levels
• Creating a long-term management plan

From the ground up, we help families take back control of their homes.

If you’re seeing roaches during the day, chances are the infestation is already much bigger behind the walls. Don’t wait until it spreads.

A rat chewed straight through this wall to get inside.

Not a crack. Not a gap.
It created its own entry point.

What you’re looking at:
• Active rodent entry
• Heavy droppings
• Nesting conditions starting to form

This is how infestations begin — quietly, behind walls, until it turns into a building-wide issue.

Most people focus on traps.
That doesn’t solve this.

At On-Sight Pest Management, we handle it the right way:
– Identify how they’re getting in
– Seal the structure (Search & Seal)
– Eliminate the activity at the source
– Put prevention in place so it doesn’t happen again

If a rat can get through this, it can get through your property too.

🐭 Found the mouse entry point… and sealed it!

Mice can squeeze through openings as small as ¼ inch, which means tiny gaps around plumbing pipes can turn into a highway for rodents.

During our inspection today, we discovered exactly where the mice were getting in — a hidden gap under the cabinet around the plumbing line.

Our team:
✔ Located the entry point
✔ Properly sealed the gap
✔ Reinforced the area to prevent future entry

This is why search-and-seal work is one of the most important parts of rodent control. If you only set traps and don’t close the entry points, the problem keeps coming back.

If you hear scratching, see droppings, or suspect mice, don’t wait.

On-Sight Pest Management is here to help.

At On-Sight Pest Management, we don’t just set traps and hope for the best.

✅ We inspect every inch of the property
✅ Seal entry points rodents use to get inside
✅ Elminate the current issue
✅ Follow up to make sure they don’t come back

Because if you don’t close the holes… they WILL return.

Cold weather pushes rodents inside. Now is the time to protect your home.

We were called in for heavy rodent activity in a building basement compactor area.

Trash rooms are one of the #1 entry points for mice in NYC properties.

We inspected the compactor room and found multiple entry points allowing rodents to travel between the exterior and basement.

✔ Entry points identified
✔ Structural gaps sealed
✔ Rodent pathways eliminated
✔ Sanitation & prevention recommendations provided

Problem solved before it spread to tenant units.

👀 Property Managers:

What do you think was allowing the mice inside?

A) Gaps around utility pipe penetrations
B) Unsealed wall & floor openings near the compactor chute
C) Exterior foundation openings behind the compactor

👇 Drop A, B, or C below

Rodents don’t start in apartments…
they start in areas like this.

If the compactor room isn’t sealed, the building isn’t protected.

🪳 American roaches don’t just live in ceilings.
They live in the floors and in the drains.

In older commercial buildings and hotels, these roaches nest and breed in:
• Floor voids
• Drain lines & traps
• Broken tile and slab gaps
• Pipe chases between floors

That’s why spraying baseboards alone never works.

If you don’t treat:
➡️ The drains
➡️ The floor penetrations
➡️ The hidden voids

You’re only controlling what you see — not where they’re coming from.

Real commercial pest control means going where the roaches actually live, not just where they show up.

🎥 Watch closely — this is why infestations keep coming back in older buildings.
