Heʻe Nalu — Hawaiian for “wave sliding,” the art of surfing.

By day, mirrored columns dissolve into reflections of sky, clouds, and trees. After dark, the installation transforms into an ocean of blues and oranges, with coastal sounds moving through the space like passing waves.

An immersive exploration of light, sound, and the changing landscape.

Keep the ceiling dark. Put the light in the millwork.
Thin warm lines under the shelf, inside the glass cabinets, and one suspended over the counter. The black stone catches the reflections, the wood slats stay in shadow, and daylight does the rest.

Coffee at ten, drinks at six. Same light.

One blue panel. Everything else holds back.

Warm light grazes the fluted wood. A soft wash across the pale panels. A ceiling with almost nothing in it. Then, above the elevator, a single blue surface fades as it falls.
