Ils ont découpé tout un pan latéral d’un conteneur de 20 pieds, qui a conservé ses portes de chargement.

Une porte roulante et une fenêtre, toutes deux découpées dans la même paroi latérale. Cela représente une quantité importante d’acier retirée d’un conteneur dont la résistance repose sur les ondulations qui le parcourent de haut en bas.

Toute ouverture de cette taille nécessite la mise en place d’un cadre en acier soudé tout autour avant que la découpe ne soit terminée — des tubes ou des cornières, formant un cadre fermé sur tout le pourtour. Si l’on néglige cette étape, le conteneur se déformera dès la première fois qu’il sera soulevé ou que le sol s’affaissera, ce qui fera dérailler la porte roulante.

Conserver les portes de chargement à l’extrémité opposée était une décision judicieuse. Cela offre un espace de stockage sécurisé et gratuit, tout en évitant d’avoir à encadrer une ouverture supplémentaire.

Le toit en appentis et la terrasse ont été ajoutés par la suite, avec des poteaux soutenant le bord extérieur.

Une chose que je corrigerais : le fait que la couleur orange transparaisse à travers le gris signifie que l’ancienne peinture n’a pas été décapée ni apprêtée au préalable.
