We’re proud to share that 𝗗𝗿. Carlos Mendez Galindo and Jonny Villa attended ASSISi’s Athens workshop, “𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” (22 May 2026).

These focused gatherings are where the field truly moves forward: 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 come together to exchange lessons learned, share cutting-edge applications, and accelerate solutions that deliver 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

One highlight was the technical visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (𝗦𝗡𝗙𝗖𝗖), a flagship seismically isolated project. Seeing the system up close was especially meaningful for our team, as Dr. Mendez 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.
