Professionals- Rate this work
I’ve owned a few homes in my lifetime but never had a roof replaced so not really sure I have a good reference point of what to expect after getting a new roof. But this looks sloppy to me. Are there any glaring issues/ concerns here?

I need to replace this insulation as it's breaking in some sections. When I replace the insulation should I keep it at the same length or cover all the way up to the valve? How impactful is not having insulation on that part? Inside the attic it's also about 3-5" short of the air handler as well.

This is for the older generation… in the 80’s it’s obvious GFCI’s were required as the garage and bathrooms are tied together. When did the kitchen come into play? The kitchen isn’t on this one.

I paid $16,400 for this deck build, and now I'm second-guessing one detail that's hard to ignore.
The center support post doesn't appear to line up perfectly under the beam, and there are blocking pieces, brackets, and other framing details around it that make me wonder whether this was part of the original design or a fix added later. The contractor insists it's built correctly and that the load is being transferred exactly as intended.
Maybe he's right, but when it comes to something that's supposed to support an entire deck, it's hard not to be cautious.
For those with deck-building or structural experience, does this look like a normal framing detail, or would you want an independent inspection before the project moves forward?

My child shoved a pencil into this opening and I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to get it out. Yes I can take the cap of the other side, however, the angle is fairly crap as there's a wall in the way so I'll need something very flexible and very long in order to push it out of this side. At this point I'm thinking vacuum and trying to suck it out. Tweezers are not quite long enough. Chopsticks might work actually. Yes. I should try this next. But more suggestions welcome. 38 yo, no bananas will fit in here.
