If you are looking for that traditional Barbershop experience, may I recommend the Kinsman at 103 West 10th Street. Designed by Field Lines in collaboration with owner/barber Nemanya (NJ) Vukanovich, the space re-imagines the barbershop as a social place rich in traditional methods and design. I now get my hair cut here and cannot say enough good things about NJ and the Kinsman.

The best calzone you can find in New York City comes from . Specifically, their meatball calzone, which features soft but chewy sourdough, and a crown of cheese that gets lightly cooked in its own fat. There’s also a trio of cheeses inside: fresh mozzarella, aged mozzarella, plus a little ricotta for good measure. The meatballs are broken up and have a pleasurably soft texture, enhanced by a smidgen of tomato sauce. There’s also a ramekin of marinara on the side for dunking. 📸:
