After my son passed away, my daughter-in-law kicked me out — but she had no idea his hidden plan would lead to her regret.
A few years ago, my husband lost his battle with cancer. Due to my health issues, I was unable to live alone — I required care and physical therapy — so my son Mark and his wife Laura invited me to move in with them.
We agreed to sell my house, and when they were renovating theirs, I contributed almost all the funds to assist with completing the renovation.
We lived together for several years.
Laura worked late hours, so I took care of everything around the house and looked after the kids on my own.
However, she was always distant and cold toward me.
Then one day, my heart broke into a million pieces.
Mark passed away in a car incident. After the funeral, Laura didn’t mourn for long — just a few days later, she stated:
"Helen, I don't want you living with us anymore! This is my house and my space."
"Sweetheart, how can you say that? I have nowhere to go..." My voice shook.
"I don't care! It was always Mark's idea — I never wanted you here!"
Since Laura became the sole owner of the house following my son's passing, there was nothing I could do.
I cried throughout the night.
The next morning, I heard a noise. When I went downstairs, I discovered that Laura had packed my suitcases and left them by the door.
I had nowhere to turn. So I moved into a homeless shelter.
I was unsure how to continue living.
But then, one day, a tall man approached me. He seemed very familiar, as if I should have known him.
He looked at me kindly and said:
"I worked with your son. You need to know something." ⬇️
