Security Camera Installation at RC Robbins

A Good Security System Starts with Putting the Right Camera in the Right Place.

When it comes to protecting your property, camera placement makes all the difference.

Here's a look at a security camera installation our team at DV Comm Systems Corporation completed at RC Robbins.

Every building is different, and sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference in how well a security system performs.

At DV Comm Systems, we take pride in helping property owners and businesses improve security through reliable camera installations, structured cabling, network infrastructure, and access control systems.

Building Backbone and Cable Pathways

How We Installed the Building’s Network Backbone | Part 2

BUILDING NETWORK BACKBONE

A dependable building network begins with properly planned cable pathways. For this project, DV Comm Systems installed and organized the backbone cabling connecting the upper floors, common areas, rooftop equipment, apartment locations, and main communications room.

Each pathway was planned to protect the cables, maintain proper separation from electrical wiring, and provide access for future service or expansion.

Good cable management is not only about appearance. It reduces troubleshooting time, protects the system, and helps the building remain organized as new technology is added.

Structured Cabling Installation

This photo shows a portion of the low-voltage cabling installation completed by DV Comm Systems Corporation at 381 Van Brunt Street during the construction phase of the project.

Multiple cable runs have been carefully pulled, grouped, and temporarily coiled at the designated termination area, preparing them for final routing, labeling, termination, and connection to the building’s network and low-voltage systems. Organizing the cables at this stage helps keep each run identifiable and protected while allowing the installation team to complete the final equipment connections efficiently.

The photo also demonstrates the amount of behind the wall infrastructure required to support a modern multi-floor property. Proper cable routing, separation, organization, and planning are essential before walls and ceilings are closed.

At 381 Van Brunt Street, DV Comm Systems provided extensive low-voltage infrastructure including structured network cabling, data connections, intercom-related cabling, wireless access point connections, security system infrastructure, rack termination, labeling, testing, and certification.
