Exposed brick left a gap between the drywall and brick after removing the plaster. What’s the best way to cleanly close that gap—corner bead, molding, something else❓🤔

To whoever installed this concealed shower valve and left zero identification behind — thanks for the plumbing scavenger hunt.
Pictures attached. From what I’ve found, it looks like it could be a Hansgrohe / AXOR iBox Universal thermostatic shower valve, but there’s no brand, no model number, and no easy way to confirm it without asking people who actually know these things.
This is exactly how a “simple trim update” turns into five tabs open, three wrong guesses, and one very annoyed homeowner.
Be honest — Hansgrohe iBox, AXOR setup, wrong guess entirely, or time to call someone before I buy parts that don’t fit?

The diagram illustrates a critical aspect of highway geometric design — the smooth transition from a straight roadway (tangent) into a curved section using spiral transitions and superelevation runoff. This ensures vehicles can safely and comfortably navigate curves without sudden changes in slope or direction.
🔑 Key Details
- Superelevation: The banking of the roadway to counteract lateral acceleration when vehicles move through curves.
- Normal crown: The typical cross slope of a straight road, where the center is slightly higher than the edges for drainage.
- Tangent runout: The distance required to transition from the normal crown to a flat cross slope before superelevation begins.
- Spiral length: The length of the spiral curve that gradually introduces curvature, avoiding abrupt changes.
- Runoff length: The distance over which the roadway cross slope changes from flat to full superelevation.
🚦 Why It Matters
- Provides driver comfort by avoiding sudden jerks.
- Enhances safety by reducing skidding risks.
- Improves structural durability of the pavement by distributing forces smoothly.
- Ensures hydraulic efficiency since proper crown and slope maintain drainage.
📐 Engineering Points in the Diagram
- PI (Point of Intersection): Where tangent lines meet.
- CS (Circular Spiral): Start of the spiral curve.
- SC (Spiral to Circular): Transition from spiral into the main curve.
- ST (Spiral to Tangent): Transition back to straight roadway.
- SLe (Superelevation End): Point where full superelevation is achieved.
- TS (Tangent Start): Beginning of the straight section.
This careful sequencing of geometry and slope is what makes modern highways feel smooth and safe even at high speeds.

Question: Do these bolts go back on HVAC?
Hello! I recently had a maintanance guy out to do a tune up. I found these bolts laying beside my HVAC. Should I reattach?

Ceiling cracks — we have a few hairline cracks in drywall installed about a year ago. I’m assuming it’s cosmetic and not serious, though the installers likely cut corners. 🤔
