Another day, another incredible view from the top of the Flatiron Building. We know we’ve been sharing a lot from this iconic NYC landmark lately, but can you blame us? Especially as our work on the building gets closer to the finish line.

We know this one pretty well.

Over the past decade, HLZAE has returned to 75 Livingston Street in Brooklyn for everything from facade repairs and window investigations to plumbing, MEP consulting, and special inspections.

And we have to say, it looks pretty good in the morning light.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001. On this day and every day, we honor the victims, survivors, first responders, and heroes.

We are reminded of the resilience and determination that define us, and of how proud we are to call ourselves New Yorkers. Our city continues to stand strong and united.

From the street, we usually only see the finished facade. During corner reconstruction at 50 East 42nd Street, portions of the exterior were removed, offering a rare view at the steel and brick masonry normally hidden beneath the surface.

Views from 260 West End Avenue.

Every building presents its own challenges. Documenting existing conditions at different elevations helps capture details that can’t be seen from street level.

A recent inspection at 121 Nassau Street gave our team a closer look at one of the building’s defining architectural features. More than a century later, details like these continue to stand out above the Lower Manhattan skyline.

Rooftops have been getting a lot of attention lately.

This is one we’re actually supposed to be on.

Some of the best work happens from places most people never get to see. This view came as part of a rooftop inspection, where every visit requires training, planning, and the right safety measures.
