A gym high above Tokyo, grounded in movement, recovery, and nature.

Inside , we designed the fitness and changing spaces to feel rooted in the Japanese landscape. Natural materials, filtered daylight, and an atmosphere of quiet intention come together to support training, yoga, and rest in equal measure.

For the guest rooms at 1 Hotel Tokyo, we brought a sense of quiet immersion in nature into every detail, designing each space to feel restorative and understatedly luxurious.

Warm wood millwork, chiseled stone vanities, and textured tile walls sit alongside sculptural trees, locally crafted bamboo artwork, and reclaimed scaffold board with moss installations, every material chosen to feel natural rather than machined.

A gathering space that takes inspiration from Japan’s history.

At Sheraton Kagoshima, design draws from the region’s culture and history to create a memorable experience for both locals and guests while reflecting nature’s textures and colors into its common place.

Congratulations to and the whole .nyc team on this beautiful recognition, so well deserved.

We had the honor of designing both the and Meju, the eight-seat counter tucked behind it. A space that honors the slow, artisanal craft of fermentation at the heart of Hooni's cooking. Warm, understated, and deeply considered

And if you haven't been yet, please go. It's really something special.

"Decompression from the kinetic city begins on arrival." — Forbes

Stone walls. Potted greenery. Neutral tones, Tokyo Tower in the window. A restaurant where the light was designed to slow you down. was always about arrival, about what it feels like to step out of the city's pace and into something grounded.

As a studio rooted in both cultures, this one is close to our heart. We wanted guests to feel genuinely connected to nature within one of the world's most electrifying cities.

Honoured to see the work recognized by Travel Guide, and deeply grateful to the teams at for the trust.

A few digitals from my Brooklyn townhouse, a down-to-studs renovation I designed myself, from the redwood-clad facade to the ceramics on the shelves. The spaces I live in, think in, and lately, have been keeping my hands very busy.

For the gathering spaces within , we envisioned a warm sanctuary inspired by the building's original architect, Morris Lapidus, and the Theta brainwaves associated with moments of deep reflection and meditation. Soft curves, diffused light, and a rhythm of natural materials that together invite you to gather, connect, and relax.

A personal milestone. My first handmade ceramic collection is up at .ote in Brooklyn.

This one grew out of a very personal place. Years at the wheel at home, figuring it out slowly, letting it take the time it needed. Seeing it all come together in the space this morning meant a lot.

Come by at 50 Norman Ave. And join me this Sunday May 17 from 3 to 6PM to celebrate.

At Scarpetta Tokyo, two worlds collide. The moody, convivial feel of its New York roots balanced with layers of organic elements that capture the essence of Japan’s love of nature. We paired dark woods with vibrant patterns and colors inspired by the seasonal changes in the Japanese flora.
