What began as a bedroom filled with storage, shoes, and visual clutter became a serene, light-filled retreat.

The goal wasn’t simply to “decorate” the room. It was to rethink the space from the ground up, creating better function, a sense of calm, and a design that feels timeless.

This sweet powder room has our hearts. 🤍

Tucked just off the family’s kitchen, this space was completely built from scratch as a new addition to the home. At the center is a custom white oak washstand, crafted as a modern interpretation of the simple sinks you might find in the French countryside.

From the romantic floral wallpaper and antique mirror to the classic wainscoting, every detail was thoughtfully layered to create a space that feels timeless, collected, and a little bit whimsical.

Happy Sunday! A modern mudroom designed for all the coats and gear a family could dream of while being roomy enough for the dog crate. The oversized windows and generous ceiling height make this a pleasant everyday entry experience.

We’ve been back for a week now, but couldn’t resist sharing more pics from our adventures through Italy. Feeling grateful that we took time away from our routines to experience such beauty and culture with our two teens as we explored their Italian roots in Abruzzo, sweated our way through the charming towns in Puglia, and made our way to the Amalfi Coast. In awe of the whitewashed villages, stone steps, frescoes, mosaics and the delicious fresh food everywhere. Feeling inspired to design a mosaic floor now, who’s in?

We almost forgot that it was Father’s Day with the near 20,000 steps yesterday adventuring around Rome. Thanks for sharing your stories, showing us your studio space (now a hotel) back when you were a student, and for being a good dad. Taking in all the frescoes, mosaics and travertine that this city has for us.
