Founded in 2006, Ryan Enschede Studio is a small architecture firm striving to find a new built poetry through development of sustainable architectural solutions adapted to New York City's unique climate and built conditions. Technical areas of expertise include ultra-low energy and Passivehouse construction, sunlighting, and alternative energy. Additional areas of focus include passive heating an
d cooling, climate-responsive design, and building-integrated vegetation. I believe these ingredients can create a critical pleasure and a returned intimacy with “nature” in our built environment. I work for clients seeking professionally delivered architectural services and high-quality outcomes who demand both aesthetic and technical excellence, and who strive to balance the altruistic with the economic.
