2025 reminded us that momentum is built — not given.

JFA’s every step of growth came from showing up, caring deeply, and delivering on the details. Together, we took on milestone projects, welcomed new teammates, strengthened our leadership, and delivered work we’re truly proud of — including milestone projects and new jobs totaling ~7,500 units.

None of it happens without this team. We’re proud of what we built — and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Wishing everyone a healthy, peaceful, and happy New Year.

Celebrating a new chapter for JFA at the rooftop of our Prospect House in Crown Heights, we came together to toast our new colleagues and to celebrate two of our leaders, Lea Lasry and Justin Sherman, stepping into their new roles as principals. Bigger table and even bigger milestones ahead!

Neighboring Hillside Tower is our striking new building poised to be “The Queens Pinnacle”. Set on a 1.4-acre site at 94-01 Sutphin Boulevard, the buidling draws design inspirations from the natural elements, with a façade inspired by the rich tones and textures of earth and terra. A sophisticated palette of two contrasting colors—a soft, light base paired with a deeper, darker tone along 95th Avenue—anchors the tower visually while reflecting the diverse rhythms of the neighborhood. Carefully articulated brickwork introduces warmth and material depth, grounding the building in its urban context while evoking a timeless, earthy character.

In Jamaica, Queens sits our Hillside Tower at 147-35 95th Ave. The design of Hillside Tower’s façade draws inspiration from the vertical intensity of cities like Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro, where super-dense, high-rise living is the norm. Working within a brief that called for minimal contouring, a gridded window pattern, and a clean, linear elevation, we introduced bold chromatic accents to bring rhythm and visual interest to the massing. These color blocks help create a sense of identity and orientation within the large-scale development, allowing residents to recognize their own sections of the building. The project comprises two 24-story towers occupying an entire city block and will deliver 1,000 new housing units to the neighborhood.

Just a block from the bustling Flatbush Avenue, Fleet Place marks the transition into the predominantly residential corridor along Myrtle Avenue. As the Architect of this project, we carefully navigated the challenges of an irregular lot to design a 294-unit residential building that seamlessly integrates an extensive array of amenities. From the inviting, spacious lobby to the landscaped rooftop dining areas offering breathtaking views of Brooklyn and Manhattan, every element was crafted to enhance urban living.

A defining feature of the project is its dynamic façade, where undulating surfaces create a rhythmic, wave-like effect. As the sun moves across the sky, the interplay of light and shadow continuously transforms the building’s appearance, bringing a sense of movement and vitality to the streetscape.
