Exposed brick, historic beamed ceilings, and the original wood columns, all kept in our Grand Street penthouse, set in a 1920 loft building where little Italy, Chinatown and SoHo meet 🧱

Beach House.

Set on a portion of the Jersey Shore devastated by Hurricane Sandy, this project is more about the land than the building itself. We restored the original dune-scape, lifting the house and creating a hydrodynamic sluice that lets water pass through the site in future emergencies rather than building a bulwark against it.

Two simple volumes, built humbly with time-tested materials and techniques 🏖️
