Reddymade Architecture & Design A leader in today’s global design culture, Reddymade Architecture and Design was founded by Suchi Reddy in 2002.

Since its inception, the firm has been lauded for its formal experimentation, its imaginative use of color and passion for innovative materials. Along with widely-praised commissions in New York – Reddymade’s headquarters – the firm’s projects extend from Los Angeles and Miami to Chennai, India. A sophisticated ‘sense of the new’ is evident in the firm’s current work: a kinetic rain-screen facade being designed for a building in Chennai, a custom modular home in Beverly Hills, and a 264 unit condominium project in Sunny Isles, Florida, with lobbies designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The firm’s design that remade a former women’s prison in Manhattan into the Women’s Building, a center for the global women’s and girls rights movement, was one of thirteen finalists in the 2016 competition. A deep interest in contemporary art informs all work from high-end interiors to architecture. In all areas of architecture and design, Reddymade’s philosophy of pushing for design breakthroughs – both formal and expressive – remains more steadfast than ever.

A rice sieve, scaled to a city.

SIFT transforms the chalanee, the humble rice sieve found in nearly every Indian household, into a multisensory pavilion shaped by the energy and density of Mumbai.

Concentric layers of woven bamboo sieves draw visitors inward along a spiral, filtering light and shadow as they move. At the center, a soundscape by Malloy James (Malloy James), inspired by the swish of the sieve in motion, holds a space for reflection within the pace of the city.

Old and new meet underfoot in an apartment grounded in its own history.

Set within a prewar co-op on Beekman Place, the home was reimagined around the way its new owner moves through the space. One of the three original bedrooms became a primary suite and home office, while a custom limestone fireplace replaced the original. The guest bath was transformed into a quiet retreat, centered around a Japanese soaking tub.

Why should we care about neuroaesthetics?

Neuroaesthetics is a translational field that studies how environments, atmospheres, and aesthetic experiences affect the brain and body.

At Reddymade, it is the foundation of our guiding principle, form follows feeling. Bringing science into the design process shows us how the body responds to a space, and can reveal that what we think we need differs from what we actually need.

Our surroundings are active agents in our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, and design is how we shape them.

The art of collective expression.

Me + You invites visitors to reflect on their visions for the future. Speak a single word into its base, and the kinetic sculpture listens, translating it through AI into a mandala of light, unique to every voice that reaches it.

A closer look inside the 25 Murray residence, where the apartment has the feel of a loft with the composure of a two story home.

At its heart is a stair we custom designed, its floating monolith treads setting a language of horizontality and mass that orders the rest of the apartment. The same language shapes the built-in storage beneath it and the shelving that lines the living area, where colorful furniture and fabrics in earthy browns, reds, and greens warm the open space.

‘How do we get it right?’ That’s this year’s question at the Clinton Global Initiative. Suchi joins the CGI community’s Health Working Group this week, part of a table of contributors exploring “Where Trust Lives: Reshaping the Health Journey.”

The conversation looks at chronic health as something lived continuously — across time, across environments — while healthcare so often meets it only in episodes. It’s a framing that resonates beyond medicine: trust, like the spaces we inhabit, is shaped by what we sense, what we’re told, and what we come to believe over time.

Suchi joins immunologists, researchers and health leaders at the table to bring a design and human-centered lens to that question.

Trust, like health, is built continuously, across every environment a life moves through.

Golden hour, inside Cherokee Residence.

A home set into the Los Angeles hillside, where we served as Project Design Coordinator and Interior Architect on a midcentury-inspired design by Ray Kappe FAIA for LivingHomes.

Floor-to-ceiling glass and clerestory windows pull daylight deep into the rooms, while the courtyard and decks dissolve the line between inside and out. Exposed steel, cedar, and glass carry that same light through, all the way to dusk.

“If I had to choose, the dining room would be my favorite room in the home.” - Suchi Reddy.

Inside our Beverly Hills project, designed for a longtime client of 15 years. Every room was studied by the hour, tracking how the light moved from a brick wall at sunrise to a Noguchi pendant by dusk. The two-year process was guided by one throughline: a home built for every angle of light and calm.
