Sewer Odor Issue I am experiencing intermittent sewer smells that can be overpowering at times, yet completely absent at others. Given that all grey water outlets are connected to a functioning grey water system with properly installed traps, it appears the issue stems from the toilet. Upon inspection, I noticed a gap in the seal at the back of the toilet. Could this gap be the primary cause of the odor, or is there another concern with this installation that I have overlooked?

I have recently stumbled upon a hidden floor safe in my home. Although it would be reasonable to assume that this discovery would be excessively exciting for someone of my disposition and this group, unfortunately, the excitement was fleeting due to the safe's apparent reluctance to open. I possess the key, which appears to have deteriorated over time, and the safe itself seems to be an antique model from a bygone era, characterized by rust, grime, and an air of intransigence. Before taking drastic action, I would appreciate any guidance from individuals who have experience with restoring old mechanisms to working order. I have already attempted to use WD40, which made the safe extremely shiny but had no other impact. Can anyone recommend suitable lubricants, gentle tapping techniques, or a preferred sequence of patient manipulations? Alternatively, is there a particularly informative YouTube tutorial that I should be aware of? Any advice would be gratefully received. My ambition is modest: to open the safe without causing damage to it or my own resolve. Female, 38, Wales, shoe size inexplicably increased from a 7 to an 8. I hope the safe contains bananas.

I'm experiencing difficulties with the conversion of my dust collector motor from 230V to 115V and would appreciate guidance from someone with experience in this area. The wiring diagram is not clear, and I'm having trouble connecting the motor wires to the power cord. The motor has red, yellow, white, and black wires, and the power cord has black, white, and green wires. Can anyone offer advice on how to properly match the motor wires to the cord and complete the conversion? βš‘πŸ”ŒπŸ”₯πŸ”πŸŒŸπŸ’‘πŸ”§

Last night, our car charger came perilously close to causing a house fire. We purchased an electric vehicle six months ago and engaged the services of an electrician to install the charger in the garage. However, the electrician had to be called back to address the recurring issue of blown fuses. The electrician upgraded the fuse to a higher amp version, ensuring us that the problem was resolved. This occurred approximately four months ago. While we have not experienced any further blown fuses, we were awoken by the car's alarm signaling that charging had ceased. The box was scorching hot to the touch, so we waited an hour before examining the damage. We plan to hire a different electrician to fix the issue, but I am trying to ascertain whether our initial electrician provided incorrect guidance or if this was an unrelated problem.

What is the most effective way to bleed a ball valve without making a mess? Every time I attempt to open one, it leads to a significant mess. Are there any industry best practices or specialized techniques to minimize fluid spillage and keep the surrounding area clean? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I am reaching out for advice as I am currently experiencing distress. A fleeting moment of leaning on my door caused the screws to pull out of the wall, resulting in damaged holes. I am now concerned that I may have inadvertently compromised the wall's structural integrity, potentially affecting the framing. As a renter, I am uneasy about facing substantial repair bills or allegations of property damage. Could I have unintentionally compromised the building's structural integrity?
