We love platyceriums! This genus of epiphytic plant has been around since the dinosaur era. While commonly known as "staghorn fern" platyceriums are not fern at all. The care is also far easier than taking care of ferns.

This one in particular is called platycerium elephantotis. Just as the name suggests, this platycerium can grow quite to an impressive size.

If you ever decide to own one, get it mounted on a board like this, as it resembles more of its growing conditions in nature. We found these plastic tiles from to be the best board for mounting staghorn, as they don't rust or decaying overtime, has nice contrast with the staghorn itself, and ... Quite affordable.

A lot of begonia have funny names, especially the cultivar ones. But this one is a species called "Begonia Cleopatrae". With the name of an ancient Egyptian princess, you would suspect it comes from somewhere around Egypt, but nope ... This begonia actually comes from the Philippines. I guess this Egyptian princess enjoyed some lechon kawali

I can buy myself flowers ...
Write my name in the sand ...

While anyone can buy flowers, not everyone can make a hoya bloom. Our hoya nummularioides is a prolific bloomer. It has been blooming 4 times in the past 2 months. This last one comes with so many peduncles and buds ready to bloom.

While the foliage is nothing to write home about, it makes it all up in the wonderfully jasmine scented flowers.

Phylantus Mirabilis is a very special caudex plant. Originating from Southeast Asia, this plant grows beautiful colored foliage. The interesting part is, this plant moves throughout the day the same way a prayer plant would. In the evening, the leaves would fold up, and they would open back up by sunrise.

This is the highly coveted 'Agloenema pictum tricolor'. A species of agloenema with green camouflage patterns on the leaves. It loves high humidity, but is fairly easy to take care of.

Sonerila is a wonderful group of terrarium plants. It can get dramatic at times, but once you understand the care of it, it can be very rewarding.

The foliage shows an incredibly detailed pattern, and most have red undersides. This particular one is Sonerila Super Spot which native to the Jungle floor of Malaysia.

Begonia Natuaensis has gorgeous large leaves with spider web-like patterns. It's a steady grower that appreciates higher humidity (but not required). Certainly one of our favorite begonia out there.

Alocasia Jacklyn is the species that makes a lot of people fall in love with the genus. Originally from Indonesia, this species has a very distinct leaf shape reminiscent of stag horns, which is why in Indonesia we call it "tandu rusa".

The care requirements are not much different than other alocasia. It likes well fertilized moist soil, or if you do semi-hydro set up like this, make sure you include some diluted fertilizer in the water. Loves bright indirect lights, and it will be happy.

The only thing to watch out for is pests. Spider mites and occasional mealybugs love this plant. So from time to time, wash all the leaves with soapy water and it will be fine.

We have a few seedlings and a couple of adult size Jacklyn in various sizes available.
