Before you start choosing tile and fixtures, start with HOW you want the bathroom to function.

Think about your everyday routine:

• Do you need a double vanity or would additional storage serve you better?
• Is a soaking tub important, or would you rather have a larger walk-in shower?
• Where will towels, toiletries and everyday essentials live?
• Do you want heated floors, additional lighting or upgraded ventilation?
• Which features are must-haves — and which are simply nice to have?

Answering these questions early helps guide the layout, plumbing, electrical plan, cabinetry and budget before construction begins.
