Wasp nest Removals within 24hours when you call us 👍

08/01/2026

Another huge wasp nest removal.

Most people never get the chance to see what’s hidden inside a yellow jacket nest. This removal gives us a look at the colony’s developing brood.

Inside the nest you’ll see:
🥚 Eggs
🐛 Developing larvae
🧩 The paper comb, constructed from chewed wood fibers mixed with saliva

One of the most interesting details appears near the end of the video is the dark black line running along the top of each larva.

This is the dorsal vessel, the insect equivalent of a heart. Instead of pumping blood through closed arteries like humans, it moves hemolymph (insect “blood”) throughout the larva’s body, delivering nutrients and supporting development.

Every larva develops inside its own hexagonal cell before transforming into an adult yellow jacket. By late summer, a single colony can contain thousands of yellow jackets, making professional removal the safest option when a nest is found near your home or business.

Nature’s engineering is truly incredible.

Have you ever seen the inside of a yellow jacket nest this close before? Let us know what surprised you the most! 👇

Stop making your ant problem WORSE! 🛑🐜
you’re using peppermint oil, cinnamon, vinegar, or other DIY repellants inside, you aren’t eliminating the colony. You’re just causing them to panic, scatter, and build NEW hidden nests deeper inside your walls.

This causes the colony to fracture, turning one manageable ant trail in your kitchen into a whole-house infestation. 📉
Save the DIY sprays. If you want to actually get rid of the problem, you need to use non-repellent solutions so the workers take it back to the queen.

Want real pest control advice from an actual exterminator? Hit that follow button! 🐜🚫

With all the recent headlines surrounding the suspected hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius cruise ship, many people are understandably concerned.

It’s important to understand that this situation is extremely different from everyday life here in New York State. Cruise ships create a much higher-risk environment because hundreds of people are living in close quarters with shared air systems, confined spaces, storage areas, and constant close contact for extended periods of time. Health officials are also investigating the possibility of the rare Andes strain, which has shown limited human-to-human transmission in certain outbreaks.

Here in New York State, hantavirus remains extremely rare. Since tracking began in 1993, there have only been a handful of confirmed cases statewide, with an average of 0–2 reported cases per year.

The biggest takeaway is not panic — it’s prevention. Keeping rodents out of homes, sheds, garages, crawl spaces, and businesses is the best way to reduce risk and protect your family.

Bees are one of the most important insects on the planet, playing a critical role in pollinating over 70% of the crops we rely on every day. As they move from flower to flower, they help plants grow, reproduce, and produce the food that fuels our communities.

Without bees, our food supply and ecosystems would be at serious risk. While not all stinging insects are the same, bees are both protected and beneficial, and should be handled with care when found near homes or businesses.

If you’re dealing with a bee issue and need it handled safely and professionally, Urbanxterminator is here to help. Call or text 845-522-6597 for a free inspection and reclaim your space.
