Our Hawthorne branch was the lucky winner of 100.7 WHUD’s “At Work Wall of Fame” Lunch! Office Manager Kristin Laughlin, who regularly listens to WHUD while at work, heard the contest being announced on the radio and decided to enter the Hawthorne team online.

Her entry paid off! Today, the WHUD crew stopped by the branch to deliver lunch for a dozen employees, generously provided by Pamela’s Traveling Feast in Newburgh. It was a fun surprise and a great opportunity for the Hawthorne team to take a break, enjoy a delicious lunch together, and celebrate their moment in the WHUD “At Work Wall of Fame” spotlight.

This week we received multiple requests for tree health assessments and preservation recommendations related to construction, renovations, and long-term property planning.

Through detailed arborist evaluations, ANSI A300 informed care plans, structural support systems, and cabling solutions, many trees can remain healthy assets for years to come.

Almstead was proud to sponsor the 44th Annual Rye Brook Birthday Celebration. Our team was on hand throughout the event, meeting residents and distributing Almstead mugs, tote bags, balls, and water bottles to the hundreds of visitors in attendance. We also shared information about the services we provide and discussed several of the pests and diseases currently affecting our region's trees, including Beech Leaf Disease and Emerald Ash Borer. We enjoyed connecting with residents and helping raise awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving our community's trees and landscapes.
