We are currently experiencing an outage affecting members served by our Simmesport Substation (Lettsworth, LA Highway 1--Innis to Simmesport, Simmesport to Locks, LA Highway 418, Legonier, LA Highway 15, LA Highway 417 to C**n, LA Highway 971.) The outage is the result of our power provider's substation being underwater due to flooding conditions.

Our power provider is actively working to resolve the issue and restore service as quickly and safely as possible. At this time, we have not been provided with an estimated restoration time, as repairs and assessments are still underway.

We understand how frustrating outages can be and appreciate your patience and understanding while crews work to restore power. We will continue to provide updates as additional information becomes available.

Our Youth Tour students are having an unforgettable experience in Washington, D.C.!

From exploring our nation's capital and visiting historic landmarks to learning about leadership, government, and the cooperative difference, these young leaders are making memories that will last a lifetime.

We're proud to represent our community through these outstanding students and are excited to see all they learn during this incredible journey. Thank you to our members for supporting programs like Youth Tour that help inspire the next generation of leaders.

OUTAGE - Plaquemine- Our power provider has an outage in your area causing our members to be without power. They are currently working on the outage but have not given us a time frame for restoration. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Planned Power Interruption Notice
Members served by our Simmesport Substation (Lettsworth, LA Highway 1--Innis to Simmesport, Simmesport to Locks, LA Highway 418, Legonier, LA Highway 15, LA Highway 417 to C**n, LA Highway 971) are advised that our power provider, Cleco, will be de-energizing transmission lines feeding the substation to complete necessary repairs.
🕒 Date: Wednesday, May 27
⏰ Time: Beginning at approximately 3:00 a.m.
⏳ Estimated Duration: About 30 minutes
This temporary interruption is necessary to allow crews to safely complete repairs and help ensure continued reliable service.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026. 🇺🇸

As we enjoy time with family and friends, we also pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Our crews will remain on standby for outages and emergencies. We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Each November, PC Electric donates mini grants to our local adopted schools to help fund classrooms with items that they would not have otherwise been able to purchase. We are honored and proud to share this message and photos from False River Academy, particularly Mrs. Catherine Olinde.

"I would like to thank you all again for supporting schools and teachers. This year my fourth and fifth graders were able to reinstate the school garden and use it for such things as plant life cycles, area, perimeter, volume, and producers/decomposers. Gardening ambassadors from our Garden Club instructed younger grades."

The future of rural America changed forever with the signing of the Rural Electrification Act on May 11, 1936 by President Roosevelt.

Before electricity reached rural communities, families relied on oil lamps, hand pumps, and wood-burning stoves for everyday life. The REA made it possible for electric cooperatives to bring safe, reliable, and affordable power to areas investor-owned utilities often overlooked.

Today, we celebrate the vision that powered progress across rural America and honor the cooperatives, employees, and members who continue that mission every day.
