The before: dark stain, small windows, a space the family had stopped using.

The after: floor-to-ceiling black-framed windows on three sides, vaulted knotty pine ceiling, fresh hardwood floors, and light that pours in all day long.

Sometimes the most powerful transformations aren’t about tearing everything down. They’re about seeing what a space could become.

This Stillwater home had good bones. Solid craftsmanship. But the heaviness of dark wood and a deep teal accent wall was working against the room, closing it in, holding it back.

We softened the palette. Painted the built-ins in a warm, quiet neutral that lets the architecture breathe. Refined the fireplace surround with a lighter stone that draws the eye without demanding it. Refreshed the walls so light could finally move through the room the way it was meant to.

The furniture, the art, the warmth of leather and wood, all of it has room to speak now.

This past year has been filled with long days, tough decisions, big risks, and moments that pushed us further than we expected to go. There have been highs that reminded us exactly why we started and lows that forced us to grow in ways we didn’t anticipate. Every part of it has mattered.

There really are not words that fully capture what this year has been. What we do know is we would not be here without the people who trusted us, supported us, and believed in what we are building before it was fully formed.
