Hurricane Isaias Update: Landfall about to occur near Destin. Pressure has gone up significantly the past 90 minutes. The eyewall appears to have collapsed with this pressure rise and shear we've been predicting. Winds gusting between 90 and 100 mph around and near what's left of the eye.

11pm Hurricane Isaias Update: Winds are now 105 mph making it a strong Category 2 hurricane. The track has not changed. Landfall will be around Pensacola later Friday evening. No impacts on the Bay Area other than a bit of coastal flooding at high tide on Friday and Saturday.

TROPICS | As of the 2 PM update from the NHC, our red blob in the gulf now looks better and has a 60% chance of development over the next 2 days and an 80% chance over the next 7 days. Likely to become our next "I" named storms later this week. It is still too early to determine the specific impacts, but we will give you the latest info if anything changes!
