Saturday night with chops and hobo packs. 🔥🥃

Any day that I make it out of the kitchen with all of my fingers intact is a good day. If you know you know.

I see it's 100+ degrees in the midwest. A/C not cooling like you think it should? Here's a couple of tips: 1. Look @ the outside unit. Is it running? Fan and compresser? (you should hear both unless your system is above a 13 seer rating). 2. When was the last time your coils were cleaned & a checkup was done? 3. If it's 100 outside and your themostat says 80, it's time to check out your homes insullation.

Fall is followed by a cold, nasty time of the year. Check your filters and have your furnace checked out. Have it cleaned and serviced by a reputable company. It will save you money and cold nights. If you live in an apartment, turn it on. Make sure it works and put in a work order for your blower to have an amp draw done. If the motor pulls to many amps, it can overheat and quit working!

Going to all of my jobs this week I can only state one thing: It is IMPERATIVE for your HVAC system to breathe. Therefore, have both your condensor coils (outdoor) and evaparator coils (indoor), cleaned every six months. Especially if you have pets! If you live in an apartment, put in a work order. This saves you money!

Almost all indoor lamps require no more than a 60 watt bulb. Did you know that if you put in a 100 watt bulb in that appliance, it burns at 500 degrees at its greatest output? This can be a severe fire hazard and melt the wiring in the appliance.

If you have any questions regarding the maintenance of your home, feel free to ask. Asking is free, answers are a hundred dollars a pop! ;)

Did you know that all pastas and rice swell when added to water? Your garbage disposal will put that into your pipes in tiny pieces an create a dam. Think about all the sticky stuff you send down your drains next time you say, "huh, that seems a little slow." To cure your stickiness, send one pot of boiling water down your pipes every month. Bye bye grease and sticky!

Have you changed your air filter this month? It is a necessary part of your air conditioner that can save you money and hot times at your house.
