WOW. That’s all we can say about last night. Thank you to Team Gibbs past and present, our industry partners, clients and friends, and many, many more who joined us for our 50th anniversary celebration last night. We’ll have many more photos to share soon, but for now we just wanted to say, thank you.

Forty new affordable housing units are now officially ready for move-in in Gulfport 🏠 Working with Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and South Mississippi Housing and Development, we recently completed North Park Estates Phase II, featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments across a mix of duplex-style and multi-family style buildings. All homes were constructed to FORTIFIED resiliency standards and meet National Green Building Standard energy efficiency guidelines. Residences include in-unit washers and dryers, central heating and air, ceiling fans, and private patios.

In addition to quality housing, the development includes several new community amenities, including a walking trail, gazebo, playground, outdoor fitness area, and volleyball court.

Exciting things are happening at the corner of St. Aloysius and Cor Jesu Drive in Gentilly! ⚒ Yesterday we had the pleasure of participating in the official groundbreaking of the Brother Martin High School Farley Field redevelopment project. It was a wonderful full circle moment, with Gibbs founder and Cor Jesu alumnus Larry Gibbs and current CEO Lauren Gibbs in attendance.

Stay tuned as we transform this corner into a state-of-the-art athletic field and facility worthy of the young men who will train, compete, and grow at Brother Martin for generations to come.

This First Friday, it's all about the coffee and conversation. ☕

We're mixing it up this month--instead of a formal presentation this Friday for our First Friday networking series, we're inviting you to stop by our office any time between 9 and 10 a.m. to connect with our estimators and project managers, catch up with fellow subcontractors, ask questions, and build relationships.

Whether you want to introduce your team, learn more about upcoming opportunities, or simply put a face to a name, we'd love to see you.

Being 50 years young as a company means we have some incredible photos in our archive, like this one of Larry Gibbs, right next to the Superdome (check out the guys in the background cleaning the roof for perspective!), at the top of a tower alongside the Gibbs crew during our Superdome re-skin project.

Here's to the next 50. (and Who Dat).

This Sunday the Saints have their first home game of the regular season at the Caesars Superdome against the Las Vegas Raiders. It's a good moment to look back at two projects that shaped the building fans will pack into: Gibbs' post-Katrina reskin and the Superdome Grand Staircase.

After Hurricane Katrina, Gibbs replaced more than 400,000 square feet of the Superdome's exterior metal skin with 16,000 independently removable panels engineered for extreme wind, plus new club-level windows, expansion joints, and two plaza-level escalators. Gibbs later came back to build the permanent cast-in-place concrete grand staircase.

When the gates open this weekend for kickoff, that's Gibbs' work fans will be walking through.

We did it again! For the eighth year in a row, Gibbs Construction has earned National's STEP Diamond certification. This is ABC's highest safety honor, proving we're more than 6 times safer than the industry average. A huge thank you to our Team Gibbs for their dedication to safety and excellence! As a result, Gibbs Construction has worked more than 3 million manhours without a lost-time injury.
