Last November, the Vestry of Christ Church Cathedral met and approved the acquisition of Project Homecoming Inc. by Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative. Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative is a subsidiary of Christ Church Cathedral, and the Vestry is the governing body of Christ Church Cathedral. Project Homecoming Inc. is now a subsidiary of Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative.

While Project Homecoming Inc. will remain as a separate legal entity, functionally, Project Homecoming and Jericho Road staffs are working closely together to complete projects and continue their missions to provide safe, affordable housing to the New Orleans community.

The Project Homecoming family is deeply saddened to share
the news that one of our own, Mr. Glenn Day, passed away
suddenly on Tuesday, June 27th. In the summer of 2016, with
the help of Broadmoor Development Corporation,
Council-member LaToya Cantrell, hundreds of volunteers and
the Project Homecoming team, Glenn and his family were
finally able to move back into their home on Louisiana Avenue
Parkway. Glenn was a kind, loving, gentle, and joyful human
who impacted many lives, especially through his beautiful
artwork.
Please help us in the celebration of his life this Saturday, July
8th from 9-10 am at Broadmoore Community Church (2021 S
Dupree Street New Orleans). There will be a repass following
the service at Blessed Trinity Church ( 4230 S Broad Ave, New
Orleans).
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pollard family during this
time.

And how do you say it? However ya Mom an ’em say it, of course! It doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that you don’t let a birthday pass without some. From what we understand, back in the 1930s Beulah Ledner adapted both the name and the cake from the Hungarian dobos torta, a much heavier la...
