Granite Valley in New London, Wisconsin, is located near the finest North American Hardwood Forests in America. We serve both domestic and international customers, exporting lumber around the world. Our concentration yard, sitting on 60 plus acres, were both founded in 2002. We have 100 full-time employees and our sales team has hundreds of years of combined hardwood and softwood sales experience.

We have worked to assemble the finest group of veteran lumberman since our inception – a team that is committed to their work and our customers.

Congratulations, Rick Anderson, on 30 years with Granite Valley! In 1996, Rick brought his background in the family sawmill business to Granite Valley Forest Products, where he worked as the Planer Room Team Leader and Lumber Inspector. Today, he serves as Plant/Inventory Manager. Through his example over the years, Rick has helped form a work culture in which everyone is willing to take on whatever challenges pop up. Thank you, Rick, for three decades of commitment and leadership.

Within the Granite Valley process from forest to market, we scope out every log from all sides. Doing so enables our sawmills to maximize both value and quality.

Logs presenting with three or four sides are designated for rift or quarter sawn cuts, while logs presenting with two sides are designated for plain sawn cuts.

We're tipping our hat to Brad Tesch as he marks 15 years at our AAA Hardwoods Sawmill. Brad is our Saw Filer and keeps our operation running sharply. He takes great pride in the precision of his work and the huge impact it has on the quality of boards leaving the mill.

Away from the mill, Brad sings with the radio and with his church. He is a hands-on guy who enjoys hunting, target shooting, and plowing up ground with the tractor.

Timing matters when it comes to getting the best from every log. To preserve the color and quality our customers expect, we process white woods like maple in the winter before the sap begins to run.

As the weather warms, we transition species like red and white oak into production. Our extensive kiln capacity and 7.5‑acre climate‑controlled warehouse allow us to maintain year‑round inventory across all species.

Congratulations Roger Donaldson, newly promoted Production Manger at Rockbridge Sawmill.

Roger joined Rockbridge in 2021 and immediately brought his old school midwestern work ethic to the Green Chain, where he graded lumber and performed quality control duties. Most recently, he served as the sawmill's Shipping Lead. Roger is uniquely able to bring a customer's perspective to the sawmill's work culture, drawing on eight years of experience working at a hardwood flooring production facility.

When he's not at the mill, you'll find Roger spending his time with his family and grandkids.
