This tree was leaning toward the powerlines and the road in Charles City down close to the Chickahominy River. The owner just wanted it dropped and I told him I would clear the road and get it or they could get in and out.

You’ll have to click on the pictures to see it better but it’s all done ready to finish a job tomorrow that I started a week ago. I’ve just been waiting for things to dry out.

If I tell you a tree is dangerous; I am not trying to scare you! I am simply stating an obvious observation and offering you the answer to the question, “ Why that much?”

So one customer went from next day service to 9 days later and a lot more money.

Today I quoted someone a price below 15 years ago; only to get two messages Oooo Ok! I need to think on that one.

I have never tried to gouge people; just making a living.

GIFT HORSES 🐎 DO NOT APPEAR EVERYDAY!

Had they accepted the offer it would have been honored. Had they just replied, “let me think on it”, the offer would still be on the table.

Needless to say the price will now reflect what other tree companies would have quoted.

Pay a true craftsman what they are worth. They have thousands of dollars in tools and equipment. They do a job nobody wants to do. They’re paying a heavy toll in their body and some customers want to play mind games with them.

You have the right to make your own choices. You just don’t have the right to choose your own consequences.

No tradesmen is required to give you a break; especially in the hottest and hardest and busiest time of the year.  I am a lot cheaper from the second week of November to the second week of February.

Worked on this tree today. It was so dead that setting the lines bought it down on my 500I.

Not overly happy about that; but it could just as easily hit one of us as we were walking the ropes back to a safe distance.

I can replace a saw; but not a life! Look for the silver lining in the clouds of doubt.
