A camel is basically a desert survival kit with legs.

The real detail is how much of its body is designed to turn punishment into routine.

Its kidneys conserve water with ruthless precision, producing waste so concentrated most mammals would be in serious trouble. Even its oval red blood cells help keep circulation moving when dehydration thickens the rules.

Then there is the mouth. Tough lips and leathery inner cheeks let it chew thorny desert plants like nature handed over a salad with weapons attached.

Sandstorms get answered too. Long lashes, sealable nostrils, and a translucent third eyelid help turn flying grit into an inconvenience instead of a disaster.

Nothing about the camel is strange by accident.

Every odd feature is a survival clause written by the desert.

I cannot think of Good Friday and not post this… When God place this in my heart, I will never forget it.

✝️ THE SEED’S ASSIGNMENT ✝️

I Never Knew That as A Seed
I Would Be Part of Satan’s Deed
At Least That’s What the Devil Thought
And Yet the Plan Salvation Bought

So, As I Dropped from Off A Limb
I Knew Not What Would Birth Within
And I Was Planted in The Earth
From Me A Tree Then Had Its Birth

Days into Years I Grew in Height
Strong Winds Gave Me Both Strength and Might
Then Came the Day My End Was Found
When That Ax Felled Me to The Ground

And There I Lay for A Great While
Amidst the Others in A Pile
Until One Day A Soldier’s Voice
Said, “Pick This One, It’s A Good Choice.”

Then I Was Strapped with Crude Rope Bands
Upon A Man with Loving Hands
And with His Eyes He Spoke to Me
And Said, “I Made You Little Tree.”

He Carried Me So Very Far
Pressed on His Back as A Cross Bar
The People Spit on Us and Cried
“Let This Man Be Crucified!”

I Felt My Weight Labored His Breath
Not Knowing We Both Walked to Death
At Last He Made It Up the Hill
It Seemed Like All the Earth Stood Still.

Then Soldiers Threw Us to The Ground
And into Us Great Nails Did Pound

I Didn’t Know That as A Seed
Someday His Holy Blood Would Bleed
Upon Me and I Would Be Known
For Pointing Others to His Throne.

While Other Trees Went to The Fire
God Had A Plan for Me Much Higher
Joined Together with God’s Son
To Bring Salvation to Each One.

Dripping in This Holy Red
Creator on Creation Bled
His Blood Seeped in My Porous Wood
And in Its Sadness, It Was Good.

How Blessed to Be Right by His Side
When on Me My Creator Died
And from A Curse Was Blessed That Day
As He Used Me to Point the Way

So, Treasure Each Seed That You Sow
For You Don’t Know Where It Will Go
Watch Over It for When It’s Grown
It Just May Point to Heaven’s Throne.
