🎈 We had a great time at the Plainville Balloon Festival this past weekend!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! It was great meeting so many members of the community, sharing more about what we do, and highlighting the important role our materials play in Connecticut’s infrastructure.

Our Make a Pet Rock activity gave visitors a fun, hands-on way to learn about our materials while getting creative! 🪨

As Connecticut gets ready for a new school year, we’re taking a moment to remind everyone that safety starts before the first school bell rings. 🎒🚌

With students, buses, pedestrians, and families back on the roads, remember to:
🚸 Slow down in school zones and residential areas
🚌 Stop for school buses when their lights are flashing
📵 Stay focused and put the phone away
👀 Watch for children crossing streets and walking or biking to school

At Tilcon, safety is part of everything we do—and that includes looking out for the communities we call home.

WHAT A TURNOUT!👏👏👏

More than 700 people joined us for our Wallingford Community Day! It was an incredible opportunity to welcome our neighbors, showcase our operations, and give the community a behind-the-scenes look at what we do.😃

A special thank you to our employees and all the vendors who helped make the day so memorable—including the Connecticut Department of Transportation / Operation Lifesaver, Klingberg Family Centers, and P&W Railroad, which brought their special Veterans Engine to the event. Your time, support, and participation truly made the day special! 🚂🧡

We were proud to welcome Congressman Joe Courtney to our Old Saybrook site!

During his visit, he toured our facility, met with employees, and learned more about the ready-mix we’re supplying for the Amtrak bridge project. We then visited the project site to see firsthand how Tilcon materials are helping build Connecticut’s infrastructure. 🪨

A great opportunity to showcase our work and discuss the importance of the Build America 250 Act in investing in America’s infrastructure and workers. 🇺🇸🏗️

From Friday through Sunday, our New Britain Asphalt and Welding teams worked around the clock on a major plant repair, replacing the dryer tire. The project required removing the dryer burner and existing tire before installing the new one.

Their dedication, expertise, and teamwork had us fully operational and ready to serve our customers first thing Monday morning. Great work, team! 😃
