This is what tile failure looks like when you leave it unaddressed. What starts as a small hairline crack can spread across an entire kitchen floor.

If you're seeing early signs like this in your home, don't wait — the damage only gets worse and more expensive to fix.

Every installer has had that call — a claim comes in, and suddenly it's your word against theirs.

The difference between a dispute you win and one you lose usually isn't the work itself. It's whether you documented the conditions before you started.

Prova Docs makes that documentation automatic — photos, moisture readings, humidity, and temperature, all logged before the first plank goes down.

What you do matters. What you prove matters more.

Same slab. One foot apart. Two very different numbers.

4.5% uncovered. 6.3% covered. Same concrete.

There's a common belief in this industry that if your moisture reading is low at install and the floor gets covered, that moisture "won't go up" because it doesn't move that way. This is why that's wrong.

Covering the slab doesn't create moisture —it stops the moisture already there from evaporating off the surface. Once that escape route is gone, the reading rises to reflect what's actually in the slab.

Low readings on an open slab don't guarantee a dry install. Test it the way it will live.

Many floor failures aren't installation mistakes—they're documentation failures. NWFA & CTEF-certified inspector here to break down what actually goes wrong on site. New account, same expertise. 🛠️

This is tile tenting—and this floor didn't stand a chance. When tile is installed without proper movement joints, the slab expands, the tile has nowhere to go, and it cracks and lifts right along that line. It's one of the more dramatic failures we document in the field.

Every installer's had this moment: the callback, the "you never told me about that," the finger-pointing after the fact.

Prova Docs takes 30 extra seconds on the job and gives you something to stand on if it ever comes up again. Photos, moisture readings, humidity, temp, job notes — all in one report.
