Location: New Braunfels, Texas

Suspect Identification: Subterranean Termites (Subspecies: Timber-Snackers).

Investigation Notes: Subjects were caught actively destroying structural beams and exterior wall framing from the inside out.

Point of Entry: Infiltration was triggered by direct moisture-to-wood contact along the lower wall line, giving the suspects an undetected, humid backdoor into the property.

The Take-Down: Executed a specialized, classified eradication protocol. Threat completely neutralized, house secured, and the case is now officially closed.

Fun Fact Friday! 💡🦂

Your porch light might actually be working against you! Did you know a single bulb can kick off a full pest food chain on your patio?

A cool-white LED bulb 💡 draws in flying bugs 🪰🐝. As they fall, ants and roaches 🐜🪳 move in for the free meal. Spiders 🕷️ set up webs to catch the swarm, and scorpions 🦂 crawl up from the yard to hunt them all.

Just like that, one light bulb invited every nuisance pest in the entire neighborhood right to your front porch! 🏡

Quick Tip: Swap outdoor bulbs for warm yellow LEDs (or yellow "bug lights"). Bugs can't spot warm yellow wavelengths as easily, which stops that chain reaction cold!

You step outside, and there’s a wasp nest right above the back door 🫣. You walk back inside to escape, and there’s an ant trail heading straight for the kitchen sink 🤦‍♂️.

That’s pretty much been every phone call we’ve taken this week.

Case in point: every single one of those wasp nests you see in the picture was removed from just one house. You can see how huge they are compared to Chris’s hand 🖐️....and honestly, this picture doesn't even show all of them!

A pretty cool encounter while we were out on the job today. 🕷️

We came across this wolf spider carrying her babies—and honestly, it’s pretty amazing to see up close.

We’re in the business of keeping bugs outside where they belong, but that doesn’t mean we can’t stop and appreciate God’s creations along the way. ❤️ Just had to capture the moment and share it with you!

Before a package ever hits your porch, that box goes on a massive journey, starting in manufacturing plants, sitting in distribution warehouses, and riding around in cross-country shipping trucks. It’s surprisingly easy for hitchhikers like roaches, spiders, ants, or silverfish to crawl inside anywhere along that supply chain and get a free ride straight into your living room.

If those boxes end up stacked in the garage or a closet for storage afterward, you're giving those hitchhikers a quiet spot to settle in. Stacking them creates dark, tight crevices that rarely get disturbed, and because corrugated glue is made from starch, you're basically leaving them a built-in feeding ground while they make themselves at home.

Quick Neighborly Tip:
Unpack your deliveries right away and toss the empty cardboard straight into your outside recycling bin instead of letting them pile up inside.
